Portrait of Carol Fischer

Carol Fischer

Carol earned her undergraduate degree in Urban Studies from Fordham University and later completed her MBA at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Having lived in both Colorado and New York — including six years in the Bronx — she brings a rich, wide-ranging perspective to her work.

She has been part of Our House almost since its very beginning, and what she treasures most is the uniqueness of every individual we serve. For Carol, no two days and no two people are ever the same, and that is exactly what makes this work so meaningful.

Portrait of Caroline Frey

Caroline Frey

Co-Founder

Caroline co-founded Our House Inc. in 2008 alongside her husband, Chesen Frey, driven by a shared belief that adults with disabilities deserve opportunities, dignity, and a place to belong. She moved to Colorado Springs from Pennsylvania in 1996 and first worked at The Broadmoor before finding her calling in foster care and host home services.

Today she oversees the organization’s finances — managing invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll. Married for 17 years and a mother of three, Caroline loves the Colorado mountains and spends her free time snowboarding and gardening.

Portrait of Kayla Gray

Kayla Gray

A proud Colorado native, Kayla brings more than ten years of experience working alongside the intellectual and developmental disability community. She grew up on her family’s farm and was active in 4-H, an upbringing that instilled a deep sense of responsibility and care.

Her adventurous spirit has taken her around the world — she has worked as a ranch hand in Scotland and taught English and coached tennis in Greece. That same energy and heart is what she pours into her work every day.
